----MOTOR AND TRANNY SOLD-----
Selling the body, use for LS1 conversion or your own motor
I have a 1993 VR Touring with Black leather interior for sale. Car has a clear PA title and had a clear VA title when bought, but had a previous salvage record in another state. I believe it was a thieft recovery or light front hit, but cannot be certain. Car currently has about 82K on the Odometer and is original mileage. Original motor was blown when I purchased over 3 years ago.
Converted to a 5 speed using a donor wrecked car with 82K miles on the donor. The motor is a KDR mild streetported rebuild with oil and coolant passages ported and mild streetport on intake and exhaust. Motor has about 3500 miles since rebuild and runs good.
Car has light body damage to nose (bumper skin replaced with a good black one now) and rear driver's quarter panel. Driver's doorskin was installed crooked at one time. Dings and dents typical for the condition and year.
Motor runs fine but has 3500k hesitation due to stock computer, turbo appears to be leaking oil because of smoke at startup that disappears after going down the road about 2 miles. Doesn't smoke after warmed up except when kicked down hard and turbo kicks in. Checked turbos when installing motor and one appeared new with no play, the other appeared to have some play and probably is the one leaking oil. Pilot bearing "locked up" last year and then "unlocked" this year when I moved it to my new house. I have a new bearing and seal to install. Currently runs and drives.
Willing to sell body and engine/tranny separately if there is separate interests. This would be a good low budget starter for someone interested.
