| This is a three-owner, non-smoker 1988 RX-7 Turbo II that is in great condition. This car has been loved and cared for by all three of its owners. It has primarily been garaged throughout its life. It has almost 85,000 miles on it - that's only a little over 4,100 miles a year! It wears all of its original Sunrise Red paint with the exception of some touch-up for nicks and the recently re-painted door mirrors and rear spoiler. I would rate the paint overall between a 8 & 9. The gray leather interior is in very good shape. There is some wear on the driver's left seat bolster. I keep the leather conditioned regularly to lessen any appearance of wear. The carpets are in great shape having been covered by the factory mats its entire life (the driver's mats has wear, the passenger's does not). The car has all of its original glass as indicated by the fact that it still wears its Full Circle Service decal in the front windshield and the IMSA Championship sticker in the rear hatch glass.
The car is stock with the exception of two items. First, the stereo has been replaced with a Pioneer DEH-P3500 AM/FM/CD with remote control (also has XM satellite capability). Second, the electric antenna is not a stock Mazda part. This was replaced in tandem with the stereo at some point in time.
Recent maintenance done to the car consists of:
-Recent maintenance service by a local Mazda dealer
-Tokico shocks all around
-Front and rear brakes pads
-New engine belts
-New wiper blades front and rear
-Recent new mufflers and tailpipe extensions
-Sylvania Silver Star halogen headlights
-Shifter bushings
-Coolant, transmission & rear axle fluids changed
The only known issues with the car are:
-The sunroof needs a push to open. Once open, it functions fine. A replacement sunroof motor is included with the car.
-The digital clock display sometimes does not show. As indicated in the photos, it works and keeps perfect time. I have tried a couple of used ones, but neither of them had all of the warning lites operational.
-There are a couple of squeaks I have not resolved
Simply put, this is a great car that will impress all who see it. You just don't find original cars in this shape anymore. Most have been modified or simply are not in good shape. This is a car you can be proud to own. Please write for further information or if you desire additional pictures. |
