Life Changing Diet!!!:
My 77 year-old husband has severe rheumatoid arthritis. He has followed this dietary regime for about six months, and has reduced his pain level from a 7 or 8 to about a 2. He no longer needs medication to control inflammation and pain.

This book should be required reading. I recommend it to everyone who wants to know how I am doing it. It also is supported by volumes of scientific data and research in the literature. There is some solid dietary advice in this book for those looking to make some positive changes from mainstream dietary habits, but it's too one-dimensional to be used as the basis for an overarching nutritional program. I say this partly because there are many factors that enter into an informed nutrition plan beyond an inflammation score. Also, the listing of foods and their inflammation scores is very limited. Nutrition's Holy Grail:
If you ever wondered if our standard American diet is killing us, this book verifies it. This is great information if you are interested in taking care of yourself and eating properly. This is not a weird diet plan, but a straight forward approach to balancing your foods to lessen inflammation. It works! BTW it was recommended to me by an Registered Nurse.
