Comment about breast feeding and jaundice:
This is an exceptional book although sometimes difficult to get your children to comply. I was reading the reviews and came across a review that referred spcifically to breastfeeding and jaundice. The paragraph in reference does not suggest that if a baby is jaundiced that a woman should stop breastfeeding. It suggests that if there is serious jaundice with high levels of bilirubin that the parents consult with the doctor because sometimes breast milk can slow the excretion of bilirubin by the liver. Good concepts, lacking on nutrition for infants:
I like the basic concepts of this book. I think we can improve our immunity with choices that we make with nutrition, etc. However, I don't agree with the advice of rice, barley cereals being the first choice for foods other than breast milk. If you look at the childs digestive system, it is very weak and immature. These cereals are only going to smother the digestion causing inflammation. I like to start with puree of white root vegeatables.
