great resource:
Wonderful book with patho-physiology and prescribing information. The chapter on musculo-skeletal by Dr. L Martin-Plank is especially well done.
Easy to read.
Look elsewhere:
This book is beyond out dated. You can't read a thing in this book and expect it to be current. They also focus on a lot of nursing hogwash that is not applicable in the real world when caring for a patient. If you are buying this book to be a provider then I suggest looking elsewhere, like a real medical book!
Primary Care: The Art and Science of Advanced Practice Nursing by:
Great reference. I work in oncology but have many patients who come to me with primary care questions (not to mention neighbors, friends, relatives, etc). This reference book has been so helpful in seeking more information on a variety of diseases. Comprehensive, readable, broad and yet inclusive of the data I needed.
