This book and interactive study guide helped me quite a bit.
The PC program more so than the book.
The program is like a game, and very accurate to the actual test.
Some minor differences:
in the "landing the planes" game, when you set a new heading, the planes arch to that new heading, appropriately to approximate physics. However, in the actual test, the planes do immediate 90' angle turns.

Yea the software wasn't that great but....:
I just took the test in November, and I'm glad I had the software to prepare me. I didn't read the book really, because I figured everything I needed to know was in the CD. It really prepared me for the test too; I scored a 88.5. Although, the Analogies and Letter Factory was a little more difficult than the software, the rest was right on target.
Definitely worth buying:
If you have little knowledge about the FAA Air Traffic Controller test, I would definitely recommend buying this book with the CD. The cd exercises really prepared me for the test. The test is a little different in some areas than the book portrayed, but overall it really helped me stay in the loop.

ok starting with a little bit of info on me. I am a private pilot with most of my ratings and i went to embry-riddle so i do know alot about flying and air traffic already. But for the book, this book was both good and bad for a couple reasons. Bad because there are several spelling errors that normally wouldnt be of any concern but some of the errors actually gave you the wrong information about the exercise that you were in.
