Great source of Information:
I purchased this book while studying for my CFI written exam. It gives clear explanations to terms and concepts. It is very well written and I would highly recommend it.
Obsolete Edition:
The FAA released a newer edition of this book in June 2008 Look for FAA-8083-25A Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge.
A Standard:
The "Pilot's Encyclopedia of Aeronautical Knowledge" is a standard in the industry. I purchased a copy for reference. I recommend it for anyone who has an interest in aviation.
Duplicate of Similarly titled book:
The page numbering, layout, etc are all exactly the same as the FAA's "Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge". The updates of both books are pretty much lockstep; however, this edition omits the FAA book number which is FAA-H-8083-25. The cover is the same. The ONLY difference is that the rear cover of the "Encyclopedia" edition has graphics printed. I didn't really care TOO much except the "Encyclopedia" edition uses heavier stock paper, making the book thicker and heavier. My study bag is... more info
